Hotel Cerro Lodge is a small, family-owned hotel located in the Central Pacific área, approx. 15 minutes from Carara National Park, the Tarcoles River and the Guacalillo Mangroves. The 8 Standard rooms and 14 Bungalows have air-conditioning and private bathrooms with warm water and shower. All furniture has been manufactured locally with wood from fallen trees of the property. The hotel features an on-site restaurant offering local dishes, outdoor swimming pool, tropical gardens, and a birdwatching platform. From the property you may enjoy a great view onto the Pacific Ocean while observing many species of birds as this is the place where the dry tropical forest meets the evergreen rainforest that dominates the southern parts of the Costa Rican Pacific coastal areas. For daily activities, guests can explore the 5000 ha of evergreen tropical forest in Carara National Park, go birdwatching, take a guide boat tour across the Guacalillo mangroves or a crocodile observation tour on Tarcoles River.
