Playa Nicuesa Rainforest Lodge is immersed in a 165-acre private preserve in the Golfo Dulce/Osa Peninsula area of the southern Pacific region. This area contains Central America’s largest remaining Pacific Coast rainforest. The secluded, exclusive retreat is surrounded by pristine rainforest and welcomes guests with dramatic views of lush green mountains and the tranquility of a private bay as they approach by boat from Golfito or Puerto Jimenez (access by boat only). The lodge features 5 spacious cabins (3 one-bedroom and 2 two-bedroom) and the Mango Guesthouse with 4 cozy rooms, all offering privacy and comfort in a very natural setting. The cabins and rooms offer canopy level views and are equipped with canopied beds, ceiling fans, private terrace or porch, and bathrooms with hot water and open-air garden shower. Freshly caught fish, locally grown vegetables, and tropical fruit create an authentic Costa Rican culinary experience at the tree-house style restaurant overlooking the lush canopy of trees. There are resident naturalist guides and yoga and aromatherapy specialists. The lodge has been built with naturally fallen local trees, embraces conservation and offers a perfect blend of comfort and environmental preservation. This wilderness lodge is not recommended for children under 6 years of age.
