Surrounded by carefully preserved gardens with local native plant life, animal life, birds and butterflies, the lodge lies on 72 acres of natural cloud forest offering beauty and wonders of Monteverde. A 1.5km long nature trail connects it with the village of Santa Elena. The hotel features 20 rooms in cozy twin buildings, each with private bathroom, hot water and front porch overlooking the restaurant building and the private nature reserve. The on-site Mot Mot restaurant offers a variety of delightful Costarican-style dishes, using purely natural unprocessed spices and herbs and producing their own bread, homemade granola and a delicious natural fruit jelly. The Monteverde Cloud Forest Lodge is the perfect place for birdwatching, hiking or ziplining and is located 10 minutes from the world-renowned Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, home to over 3000 species of plants and animals.
